Background

• This project was to transform a 17 hectare site into a state of the art sports centre with new pitches, tennis courts and cricket pitch provided.
• The scheme also included the need for:
  - Raising funds for a new all, weather pitch and remodel, existing facilities to attracting a
  higher standard of user (including Bristol City FC), Considerable landscaping given its location in the Bristol Green Belt including planting a large number of new trees, hedges and other ecological features.
• The construction work included:
  - Levelling works
  - Insertion of drainage
  - Extensive planting
  - Haul Road Constriction
  - Pitch/court laying (artificial
  - and grass).

Timescales

• 24 months, ongoing.

Our involvement

• We secured planning permission after close consultation with council’s planning, ecological and landscape officers.
• We delivered this site to our client’s full specifications while delivering a substantial capital sum which allowed further improvements to existing facilities.
