Background

• This project was to create a flagship sports centre from run-down playing fields.
• New facilities included football, rugby, hockey, squash and fully equipped gymnasium facilities.
• Our green approach realised a substantial capital sum for the client which was reinvested in the site to create the high quality facilities you see today.
• The construction work included:
  - Pitch raising and levelling works
  - Insertion of a top spec drainage - system
  - Clubhouse renovation to
  - provide squash courts, gym and
  - new bar/function suite
  - Development of a floodlit
  - all-weather pitch suitable for a
  - range of sports.

Timescales

• 18 months, delivered on time.

Our involvement

• We developed the proposals on behalf of the Cient, obtained planning permission and delivered the whole scheme on time and within budget.
• The finished facility was recognised to be of such a high standard that Bristol Rovers FC now use the site for training.
