Manor Farm Rugby Pitches
Background
- This project was to provide six top class rugby pitches from 11.6 hectares of underused rugby playing pitch, for use by local teams and schools.
- The site was complicated by the presence of a medieval manor house below the surface of the site. We coordinated archaeological works which overcame any objections to the development and allowed the project to be delivered to the clients required timescale.
- The construction work included:
- Land raising and levelling works
- Insertion of a top spec drainage - system.
Timescales
- 12 months, delivered on time.
Our involvement
- We provided planning services and instructed a team of hydrologists, arboriculturists and archaeologists to deliver a workable scheme which secured planning permission.
- Following this we were responsible for all elements of construction, handing back the site ‘keys’ at the end of 12 months to our clients – the recipient of a brand new top spec playing pitch facility, at no capital cost to them.
